As a 1968 graduate of the University of Connecticut School of Interior Design, I soon discovered that the world of retail had long hours and very little pay. I jumped ship and pursued a 27 year career at Aetna Life and Casualty. Upon my retirement I returned full time to my artistic interests. My first bead class got me hooked and soon progressed to an at home business. I love the feel of the seed beads and all the bright colors. The slow and deliberate process that seed bead work requires is not for everyone but I find it relaxing. Fused glass was my second interest and I mainly make pieces that can be incorporated in my jewelry. Teaching comes natural to me (honed at Aetna) and many area beaders have benefited from my desire to pass it on. I hope you enjoy looking at my creations and will stop by a show and say hi sometime.
